Torquay CC stunned by death of Terry Stephens

TORQUAY CC members have been shocked by the sudden death of catering manager Terry Stephens.
Terry was a familiar figure behind the serving hatch at the Recreation Ground, who brought a professional touch to club catering.
He had operated sandwich and snack bars in Torquay town centre before being lured down to the cricket ground.
News of his death was broken by Dennis Brewer, the Torquay CC chairman, in a short statement.
“Very sadly I have to inform you that our cricket club colleague, Terry Stephens has unexpectedly died at home following a short illness,” said Brewer.
“Our deepest condolences are passed on to the relatives and friends of Terry who will be deeply missed at Torquay Cricket Club and with the wider cricket community in Devon."

Terry’s funeral service will be held at Our Lady of The Assumption, Roman Catholic Church, in Abbey Road, Torquay on Tuesday, January 27 at 1pm.
