BIDEFORD 2nd XI batsmen Andrew Webbe and James Corry set two new records in the 330-run demolition job on Stoke Gabriel.
Webbe smashed 217 not out in a hefty total of 390 for one – setting a new personal best for the division.
The old record of 187 not out had stood since 2000 when Rob Acton made it for Bradninch against United Services.
Corry also helped himself to an unbeaten century, finishing with 127.
Webbe and Corry put on 337 unbroken for the second wicket, which didn’t just break the old record it shattered it.
Exeter pair Tom Richards on and John Hurrell had the previous best of 202 against Clyst Hydon last summer.
One record which eluded Webbe and Corry was the overall highest total, which Plymouth set with 408 for four against Kentisbeare in 2007.
Bideford sit second in the all-time C Division 2nd XI list now having ousted Plymouth CS, who held it with 330 for six also against Kentisbeare in 2006.
Mike Lemmings then helped himself to five wickets for four runs as Stoke were dismissed for 60 in reply to lose by 330 runs.
