Green, a student at Exeter School, made valuable contributions with a wicket, in a tidy bowling spell and a catch.
In an exciting finish, Devon got over the line with three balls to spare – Green hitting the winning runs on his way to 21 not out.
England have four more one-day international on their itinerary as well as a four-day game.
Green, who is only 17, started his cricket career with Clyst St George before moving to Exeter.
He has played through the age groups for Devon and was taken on by the Somerset Academy two years ago.
For the last two seasons he has been named Devon’s young cricketer of the year. He is the current Devon League young player of the year, following in the footsteps of Mark Lathwell and Chris Read, both of whom went on to play for England.
